The City of Breckenridge has applied for and received a $75,000 matching grant from Texas Parks and Wildlife. We feel this project will provide opportunity for the youth in our community to enjoy additional recreational opportunities in a safe environment. If you or your organization would be interested in contributing toward the project, it will be greatly appreciated, especially by the kids!

Skateboard Park

The skateboard park includes twenty-six elements to challenge the skateboarders. Built on a concrete slab, it will be located in a highliy visible area of Breckenridge Park that should minimize noise in the adjacent neighborhoods. The area is currently being used for horse shoe pits about twice a year and will be repurposed for the skateboard park.

Playground Equipment

The pieces of dated playground equipment will be replaced by newer equipment.
