The City of Breckenridge relies on the energy and community-oriented citizens of the city. Without the help of committed citizens, the city would not be able to function. Each Board and Commission plays a vital and significant role and helps to keep Breckenridge vital, responsive, and responsible. This commitment is reflected in the service the citizens provide by serving on these various boards. These citizens who serve on these various boards volunteer the time necessary to improve the quality of life for everyone in Breckenridge.

The City accepts applications for citizen volunteers to serve on various boards and commissions. The City Commission often relies on recommendations and decisions made by boards and commissions for board appointments.  Serving in this capacity is a perfect opportunity for citizens to get involved in their local government. Filling of vacancies requires City Commission approval.

If you are interested in serving with the City, please complete a board and commission application online or come by the City Secretary's Office at City Hall to apply.

The month in which applications are received is listed below; if you have further questions concerning the boards and commissions, please do not hesitate to contact City Secretary, Jessica Sutter.
