Park Pavilion

POLICY FOR USE OF THE PARK PAVILION

The City of Breckenridge, recognizing the diverse nature of this community and the varied needs of its citizens, hereby adopts the following policies regarding the use of the Park Pavilion.

The Park Pavilion has been provided as a part of the Breckenridge Park Project to provide space for community-oriented projects and programs and family group activities.

Permission to use the Park Pavilion will be denied to any group whose purpose is illegal, whose conduct would be in poor taste or generally unsuitable for the surroundings because of noise or other factors, or for which satisfactory sponsorship is not provided.

The Pavilion may be reserved for group activities, with the exception of political or commercial use.

Advertising or promotion of products or services or the sale of any items will not be permitted.  No admission fees may be charged, donations solicited or collections of any kind may be taken at any meeting.  Exceptions to this policy may be made by presenting justification to the City of Breckenridge for approval.

Policy for Making Reservations for the Park Pavilion

Reservations for use of the Park Pavilion will be made through the offices of the City Manager, City Offices Building, and will be filled on a first-come basis and should be made at least one week in advance.  The application for use of the Park Pavilion must be signed by a responsible representative of the individual, group or organization requesting use of the Park Pavilion.

Policy on User Responsibilities

In accepting use of the Park Pavilion, the responsible person and/or organization making the reservations will be held responsible for proper conduct of those attending and for expenses caused by any damages.  The City of Breckenridge assumes no responsibility for any of the user’s property that may be damaged or lost.  Use of special furniture or equipment by the user may be noted on the application for use.  The user is responsible for turning out the lights and the removal of all their materials upon completion of their use.

NO GLASS OR ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES WILL BE  ALLOWED IN THE PARK OR PAVILION

NO MATERIALS OF ANY KIND WHICH WILL DAMAGE OR DEFACE MAY BE ATTACHED TO ANY WALLS, DOORS, FLOOR OR CEILING OF THE PARK PAVILION.

When use of the Park Pavilion requires extra services (custodial, special equipment, etc.), negotiations should be made in advance with the City Manager of the City of Breckenridge, and, if at all possible, these services will be provided and the expense will be borne by the user.  The amount for any extra services will be agreed to in advance.

Fees and Charges

Reservations for the Pavilion will require a one-hundred dollar ($100.00) deposit (check or money order only), refundable if the premises are returned in good condition without damages.  The deposit will be applied toward any repairs that have to be made following use.  In addition to the deposit, there will be a fifty-dollar ($50.00) per day use fee (non-refundable).  Deposits and fees shall be paid at the time the application is filled. If both deposit and fee are paid by check or money order, please do so separately. Refunds will be made for twenty-four (24) hour advance cancelation of reservations, less 10%.  Failure to provide advance notice of cancelation voids any refunds.
